This is a great topic and THANKS for bringing it to everyones attention.

I think you are 100% spot on. The area is terrible for traffic as it is, and it can only get worse. If I'm correct in what I believe you are mentioning, Kings Valley to 285 it's a;ready confusing and a nightmare on a "good" day with light traffic.

There's that "service" type road that had the dual stop signs several feet apart. I'm even guilty of forgetting and blowing the first one as I leave for 285. Not to mention, just the Cu...

I would love to keep up with the progess and decisions on the improvements of Rt 285 from Richmond Hill and west. It appears that the cause of winter backups and summer traffic backups is skipped over for the new bridge at Shaffers Crossing. The one lane coming down Kings Valley Hill holds us all up because of the merging traffic from 2 to 1 lanes and because people do not prepare for winter driving (if 2 lanes, we could pass them). The fact that the traffic stacks up Southbound through Kings Valley Hill...

Hey, how about instead of these greedy corporate criminals getting bonuses, take that money and
give it to our troops in harms way. For better gear, armor, food, whatever. Even R&R!

Better yet, give it to their families trying to make ends meet!

How about give some to the vets for better health care?

Maybe instead of bailing out millionaires we bail out our education system, healthcare or assist law enforcement.

I think we could go on and on where this money would be MUCH better spent.

I'm sorry to see SHOUT's gone, but you're absolutely right. Spamming is really destroying a great feature like SHOUT! I'm sitting over here in Norway and find it interesting to see what people over in your neck of the wood are saying about stuff, but those spamming a*holes put a stop to that. Like you say, who would really buy anything from a spam? I just don't get it. Absolutely everyone I know, and from what I see on the net, they all hate spamming. I do hope you will come up with something similar to SHO...

I'm sorry, but I've chosen to remove SHOUT from the web site.

It was a feature I enjoyed, but the spammers got a hold of it and basically ruined it. I'd rather take it away than have those kinds of postings on it.

Since I more than likely will have their attention, when they go to post their useless links and information, I'd like to ask them a question. This I believe is news worthy. But what makes you people think that spamming, in any form, not just the Shout section of this web site, what makes y...

Sorry, just don't get the hype, hey, it's 100 years old, (how many things last that long)
I had to put my 18 year old cat down (NO VET, I did it), and it's a lot more important, I could still be in a sh*tting mood and still griving, but It's only a flipp'in newspaper, when can we give this much respect to the heroes that are dieing everyday?
Sorry, rambling... :( ...

I can't help but feel that in my small way I helped commit a murder.

Today marks the passing of The Rocky Mountain News down in Denver. I'm reminded of the one hit wonder song from the Buggles "Video Killed the Radio Star" as we watch the Internet kill news publications across the world frankly.

Here in America a lot of people not only get their news online and from TV but on TV from satirical TV on Comedy Central, or at worse from lop sided blogs and Internet MIS-information.

I can also in a way ...

Well, I dunno if y'all noticed as I try to lay low as it is with the site but I haven't been doing too well health wise. Lemme catch you up. I'm ( some would say "only" ) 42 but due to complication from medication to treat my crohn's disease I ended up having to have hip replacement surgery in early 2008. It started out great but I started to have pains under my arms, chest area, lower back and they thought it was blood clots from the hip surgery - turns out I had Sarcoidosis which aside from doing nothing ...
